About STEM Library Lab:
Founded in 2016, STEM Library Lab (SLL) began as a nonprofit equipment lending library that fosters academic success by providing teachers and students with access to equipment and support for high-quality active learning. Since founding, we have grown and expanded our programs to include a Teacher Free-Store, Service Learning, and more. Across all of our programs, SLL has engaged over 2,100 teachers, impacting 115,500 students and saving schools more than $2,200,000.

Working at SLL will give you an opportunity to be a part of a small, passionate team that values open communication, new ideas, and the ambitious pursuit of educational equity. As this is our eighth full year of operations, you will contribute to moving SLL from a grassroots organization to a robustly operating and potentially scalable nonprofit. Together, we can make sure students in every classroom have exposure to quality educational experiences that prepare them for a 21st Century future.

Engaging Students works with local schools to bring professional learning aligned to the new science standards, which enables teachers to understand the “why” and “how” behind the standards and translate that into high rigor teaching regardless of the specific curriculum a school has selected. Communities of Practice are single instance sessions targeting a specific subject or grade with a phenomenon rooted lesson, using materials from the Co-op.

The PDM will manage the Engaging Students workshops by interacting with current school partners to schedule sessions, presenting content alongside the Executive Director, and coordinating design of session materials with the Outreach Manager.
